Adopted text on the work: A re-editing of the detective film The Murderer Hides His Face (Vrah skrývá tvář) (1966, directed by Petr Schulhoff) with Rudolf Hrušínský in the role of Kalaš. The key to solving the whole case is possessed by a girl who for much of the story doesn't speak. The artist edited all the scenes in which the characters move their lips and only kept the sound effects and music. The result is a silent film roughly a third of the length of the original version and essentially respecting the story's original chronology. The only spoken word that appears in the film is uttered at the very end. It's the girl's scream that leads to the entire case being resolved. The "face" in the title becomes "form" and the black-and-white detective story is a Czech "film noir" full of dramatic views and an especially unsettling atmosphere.
