Adopted text on the work: Zbynek Baladrán works mainly with video and archive video footage. His work practices are influenced by f.e. an archeological methodologies or an avant-garde cinema. On the basis of individual research he creates conglomerates of the images, sounds and texts, which mainly reflect recent history and as well as the present time.
In 2006, together with Vit Havranek he initiated a project, called Monument of Transformation. This project, which relates to the field of art and theory, examined the personal and collective memory during the processes of social and political change in the years 1989-1968-2009.
