M.S.: Water is the opposite of fire. If fire represents Logos then water would be Eros. Fire is the sun and water is the moon. Their magical wedding fertilizes the new person. But water is also a chasm, a symbol of danger lurking in the chasms of the unconscious.
K.Ž.: I pour onto the canvas and observe small black specs of paint. Once when my son Honza came home, I was in the heat of work, and he said, "I didn't realize that painting a picture requires washing the floor so much."
