NOTES AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Notes: Included in the compilation He Who Laughs: Art About the World of Art (edited by T. Nekvindová, S. Sobotovičová). “Art about art” – videos that aim directly at the art world or wend their way through art history. Published in 2013 by the Research Centre of Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (VVP AVU).
Adopted text on the work: This animated short was created for Michal Pěchouček’s exhibition Lessons in Art (City Gallery Prague, 2011), in which Švec participated as a guest artist. It takes place at the exhibition’s fictional opening, for which Pěchouček even created miniature versions of his exhibited works. The situational humor of the small talk typical for such events reveals the worst aspects of interpersonal relations within the art scene – snobbism, hypocrisy, and desperation. With the voices of: Johana Švarcová, Krištof Kintera, Michal Pěchouček, Jiří Havlíček, Markéta Lisá, Veronika Holcová, Michal Šalanský.
