Adopted text on the work: An allegory of good and evil in the service of science, dedicated to the memory of Karel Čapek, Alfred Nobel, and Sigmund Freud. The young scientist Vančo and his colleagues build a machine that simulates a virtual reality but that also acts as a drug, destroying people’s lives. Accompanied by the figure of an angel, he seeks redemption in nature and pure love. Bucolic shots of the countryside alternate with a foreboding industrial landscape. A moral tale about how quickly a person can lose his soul and his judgment, and about the fragility of personal relationships.
