Sobotovičová). “Art about art” – videos that aim directly at the art world or wend their way through art history. Published in 2013 by the Research Centre of Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (VVP AVU).

Adopted text on the work: Flagellants in the Moravian Gallery. A video recording of a performance that the group’s three artists – Jiří Surůvka, Petr Lysáček and František Kowolowski – gave in the permanent collection at the Pražák Palace in Brno. Surrounded by modernist artworks, they use irony to try to come to terms with their many predecessors and the meaning of their legacy. The video was created as part of an installation.
