Adopted text on the work: The video shows Milena Dopitová’s son playing the violin – the repeated composition releases the child’s hidden emotions. The artist did this video for the exhibition Punctum, a term coined by Roland Barthes for a photograph’s point which “pierces the viewer’s heart”, i.e. revealing the territory of subjective emotions.
