Archived separately as .avi format.
Adopted text on the work: In her short videos, Zuzana Krkošková records her life in the rural countryside of Moravia’s Haná region. The videos were first exhibited by Blanka Švédová and Pavla Krkošková-Byrtusová, who also gave them their titles. Influenced by their knowledge of art history, the curators thus gave the works a meaning not originally intended by their author. In 1968, Hugo Demartini created six “immediate” sculptures, constellations made of pieces of wood and wood scraps thrown into the air. Krkošková’s tree trunks dumped from a wagon could be seen as an allusion to this 1960s experiment. We are including the video as an example of a curatorial intervention in which the work is “made complete” by what others see in it.
