Adopted text on the work: Nature is the primary artistic material and source of inspiration for performance artist and painter Miloš Šejn, who has been working on his long-term project Bohemiae Rosa (an exploration of the body’s relationship to the landscape) since 1992. His works often involve an intimate interaction with the landscape. This video records Šejn’s ecstatic experience amidst a forest plain while also communicating with 19th-century Czech art legend Josef Mánes, who saw nature through a similarly romantic prism.
